About the role
As a Processing Technician VG, you’ll play a vital role in advancing our mission by performing all aspects of processing, preservation, and storage of tissues in an FDA-regulated environment. You’ll work in a team under aseptic conditions, performing controlled production processes, quality assessments of tissue products, and documentation. This role is critical to transitioning donor gifts into lifesaving and health-restoring allografts for patients globally. Each day, your work will contribute directly to life-changing outcomes.
This position entails varying levels of complexity based on physical demands, knowledge of human anatomy, graft lines processed, process complexity, equipment operation, manual dexterity, and other special needs.
Important: You will be required to sit, stand, bend, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs. for the duration of the shift, as well as wear personal protective equipment, including surgical gowns, masks, visors or goggles, and caps.
Responsibilities
- Tissue Processing: Review work orders or processing instructions prior to production. Adjust plans with supervisors as needed. Perform debridement, dissection, cutting, cleaning, disinfection, sizing, and assessing of tissues according to procedures and protocols. Assist in production enhancement and improvement initiatives.
- Packaging: Perform all aspects of packaging and preservation, including confirmation of sizing, quality, packaging materials, and cryopreservation, following current procedures and protocols.
- Documentation & Data Entry: Document all processes and functions in accordance with procedures and protocols.
- Decontamination: Perform post-processing decontamination of equipment and the processing room according to current procedures and protocols.
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED required.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Zero years of work experience required (entry-level).
Preferred Qualifications
- Certified Tissue Banking Specialist (CTBS) Certification.
- One (1) year of Tissue Processing Experience.
Skills
- Able to perform tasks thoroughly and with care; checks work for accuracy and completeness.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications, computer software, and databases.
- Able to learn new skills, grafts, and adapt to developing product lines.
- Able to prioritize multiple, competing priorities and manage time/workload.
- Able to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Technical skills (preferred), general knowledge of anatomy, and ability to use surgical instrumentation and equipment.

Pay
Salary Range: $20.00/hour (flat rate for entry-level). Final compensation may be higher based on the successful candidate’s knowledge and relevant experience.
Schedule
Full-Time, Saturday–Monday (5:00 PM–5:45 AM).
