Processing Technician/FSQR Lead
Job Purpose and Impact
The FSQR Lead/Feed Processing Technician will execute production processes within a work area, operational department or technical domain. In this role, you will follow guidelines and specifications to ensure delivery of high-quality data and will also be responsible for the Food Safety & Regulatory program, housekeeping duties as well as assist with equipment maintenance and repair.
Key Accountabilities
- Actively take part and work towards the construction of a safety culture that reduces and eliminates risk.
- Compile and report accurate data, observations or deviations and production quality measurement on time and in accordance to scope.
- Give continuous evaluation and improvement of production process, daily routines and procedures.
- Operate processes to ensure that the production outcome, quality, quantity and timing fulfill customer specifications and requirements efficiency.
- Align with corporate policies and procedures related to environment, health and safety and food or product safety, quality and regulatory.
- Handle complex clerical, administrative, technical or customer support issues under minimal supervision, while escalating only the most complex issues to appropriate staff.
Qualifications
- Minimum Qualifications:
- A high school diploma, secondary education level or equivalent
- Basic knowledge of manufacturing operations
- Minimum of four years of related work experience
- Able to work 1 weekend (supporting animal units) every 4 weeks and 2 holidays
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree
- Food Safety and Regulatory experience
- Professional certificate in a relevant area such as production Engineering, chemical processing, industrial food production, automation, mechanical, electrical, engineering
- Boilers License
Pay
The expected salary for this position is $25 - $30 hourly. Compensation varies depending on a wide array of factors including but not limited to the specific location, certifications, education, and level of experience.
