Important
You will be required to sit, stand, bend, walk and lift up to 50 lbs. for the duration of the shift; as well as wear personal protective equipment to include: surgical gowns, masks, visors or goggles and caps.
How You’ll Make An Impact
As a Processing Technician Dermis you’ll play a vital role in advancing our mission. In this position, you’ll be responsible for performing all aspects of processing, preservation and storage of tissues in an FDA regulated environment. Works in a team environment under aseptic conditions while performing controlled production processes. Performs quality assessments of tissue products and documentation. Each departmental processing technician position entails a level of complexity that varies based on physical demands, knowledge of human anatomy required, number of graft lines/product families processed, complexity of processes required for proficiency, number and types of equipment operated, degree of manual dexterity and fine motor skills required, and other special needs.
Tissue Processing
- Reviews work orders or processing instructions/scheduling prior to initiating production.
- Works with production supervisors to adjust plans as needed.
- Performs all aspects of processing tissue (debridement, dissection, cutting, cleaning and disinfection, sizing, assessing) according to current procedures and protocols.
- Affixes to supervisory team in production enhancement and improvement initiatives.
- Packaging: Perform all aspects of packaging and preservation of tissue products (confirmation of sizing, quality, packaging materials, cryopreservation, etc.) according to current procedures and protocols.
- Documentation & Data Entry: Document all processes and functions performed in accordance with all procedures and protocols.
- Decontamination: Perform post-processing decontamination of equipment and the processing room according to current procedures and protocols.
What You’ll Do

Minimum Requirements
- High School or GED required
- Must be 18 years of age or older to apply
- Zero years of work experience is required
Preferred Experience/Skills/Certifications
- Certified Tissue Banking Specialist (CTBS) Certification preferred
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred
- One (1) year Tissue Processing Experience preferred

Compensation
Salary Range: $20.00 / hourly
Final compensation
Final compensation will be based on factors such as geographic location, qualifications, and prior relevant experience. The pay range for this position is a flat rate of $20.00 hourly (entry level).
