Processing Supervisor, 3rd Shift

About the role

The processing supervisor serves as the expert in processing systems and procedures, leading a team of processors in the efficient and timely execution of the bulk manufacture process. They supervise bulk compounding, resolve issues promptly, ensure adherence to batching procedures, safety procedures, and all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) standards. They train processors on procedures, production, equipment use, and chemical safety, and hold them accountable for performance. They understand L’Oréal manufacturing requirements and champion a safety, quality, 5S, and performance culture on the shop floor.

Responsibilities

• Supervise bulk compounding within the Processing department
• Resolve issues in a timely manner
• Ensure adherence to batching procedures, safety procedures, and all GMP standards
• Train processors on procedures, production, equipment use, and chemical safety
• Review and hold processors accountable for performance
• Recognize superior performance and work with processors to improve performance weaknesses
• Understand L’Oréal manufacturing requirements and champion a safety, quality, 5S, and performance culture on the shop floor
• Work closely with Short-term Planners, Packaging floor, and Pre-Weighing teams to ensure the right batch is weighed and made at the right time
• Track attendance and manage vacation requests and other absences for processors
• Provide coverage for other shifts during vacations or unplanned absences
• Sign off on processor hours with regard to eTime to ensure proper distribution of vacation, overtime, and other time off for accurate processing of payroll

Requirements

• 3-5 years of processing or operations/laboratory experience
• Attention to detail and ability to follow detailed procedures
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously
• Specialized technical training not required; willingness to learn is critical
• Technically minded with the ability to troubleshoot equipment and product

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering

Physical Requirements

• Able to lift 25kg and climb stairs frequently
