Processing Supervisor - 1st Shift

Responsibilities
Supervises a team of Production Workers and their daily activities to ensure the needs of all functions within the area are met (production, training, safety, security and housekeeping). Provides leadership/direction to the team and ensures that all the procedures for food safety and manufacturing high quality products are achieved.
- Personnel: Ensure proper staffing, implement and monitor training, maintain attendance records, counsel team members, evaluate work performance, and provide input for termination decisions.
- Safety: Enforce all safety rules and company policies, report accidents and deficiencies, verify work and storage areas are safe and organized, and complete Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) requirements.
- Quality: Ensure quality protocols are followed, maintain quality product, recommend methods to improve manufacturing processes, and support successful implementation of SQF (Safe Quality Foods) within the facility.
- Productivity: Monitor and track inedible, rework and down time, perform production paperwork, identify cost-saving opportunities, and manage inventory and cost control.
- Leadership: Provide direction to team members, demonstrate professionalism, encourage positive attitudes and behaviors, and build a culture of openness and accountability.
- Communication: Communicate with peers, subordinates, and leaders in an effective and timely manner, and confer with personnel to coordinate activities between departments.
Requirements
Required Education: High School Diploma or GED, Required Experience: Minimum of 2 years’ experience in manufacturing and 1-3 years Lead experience, Preferred: 2 years of Supervisory experience, Leadership in food manufacturing industry.

- Knowledge of plant/distribution center models and production/logistics processes
- Superior accuracy and attention to detail
- Planning Skill, math and mechanical aptitude, solid verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient in Internet navigation, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook

Pay
The salary range for this role is $65,000- $80,000 Annually. Actual salaries will vary based on several factors, including external market data, internal equity, location, and candidate skill set and experience.
