Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Able to accurately weigh (scale) proper ingredients into pails (20# -100#)
- Able to operate control systems to draw ingredients for weighing
- Able to read and understand production schedules, mixing formulations, various product labels, ingredient contents and proportions
- Able to follow safe work habits regarding lifting and material safety
- Safely operate pallet jack and walk-behind forklift to move materials
- Communicate clearly with others in support positions
- Take the initiative to organize and accurately perform all job functions required to meet volume and quality of product scheduled
- Take action necessary to insure continuous product flow
- Communicate clearly with others in process and support positions
- Complete required production pick plans
Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Knowledge of formulation processes in a manufacturing environment a plus
