Essential Functions

  • Work as a team.
  • Responsible for Product Movement.
  • Effectively provide feedback and take instructions as needed.
  • Assure quality and food safety and personal safety are observed.
  • Knowledge of machinery upkeep and operation.
  • Tracking and rotation of product.
  • Perform sanitation tasks as needed.
  • Communicate with employees and others through written, oral, and face-to-face interactions.
  • Absorb and participate in some discussions about confidential/sensitive matters.

  • Assure the following shift is briefed on ongoing activities and pass along instructions from management if needed.
  • Ability to work flexible work schedules with varying hours as required.
  • Knowledge and adherence of GMP’s (Good Manufacturing Practices).
  • Absure product is inspected coming out of various machines to ensure proper removal of waste.
  • Absure equipment is operated as directed by management and per safety protocols and operating instructions.
  • Interface with maintenance crew to ensure equipment operations are consistent with product quality standards. Alert maintenance or management when equipment or product quality falls below standards or there are safety concerns.
  • Maintain appropriate housekeeping and sanitation procedures within the plant.
  • Provide prompt, friendly and courteous service to internal and external customers.
  • Pursue sustainability of our natural resources with every decision, decreasing waste and being conscious of individual choices.
  • Advocate positive change within our plant and company, empowering one another.
  • Push and pull carts, totes, and bins as needed.
  • Absorb and participate in some discussions about confidential/sensitive matters.

  • Always work to produce products people can trust by recognizing poor quality coming off the processing machines or at your station and communicating with management.

Work Environment

  • The worker is frequently subject to inside environmental conditions: Protection from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature changes.
  • The worker is subject to noise.
  • The worker can be subject to cold and wet conditions as well as hot weather conditions.
  • The worker will work both inside and outside environments.

Physical Demands

  • The worker will be required to have a range of motion as follows:
  • Often requires walking or moving to accomplish tasks.
  • Often requires standing for sustained periods of time.
  • Occasionally requires stooping and reaching.
  • Occasionally requires pushing using upper extremities to press against something with steady force.
  • Occasionally requires pulling using upper extremities to exert force to draw, drag, haul or tug objects in a sustained motion.
  • Lifting is required on a frequent basis of 50 lbs.
  • Often requires using senses including to but not limited to vision and touch to determine status of the product.
  • Repetitive Motions are required which involve substantial movements of lifting, bending and upper body movements.
  • Often will climb and descend stairs to monitor and produce products.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

  • Full-time position work 5 days a week, weekdays and some weekends as required.
  • Expected Hours of Work: Work hours vary and will range from 6 AM – 4:30 PM and 5 PM to 4:00 AM. Overtime is expected and required as needed. Overlap of shifts will occur on a limited basis.

Travel

  • Travel locally to Fish Farms and Processing Plant is required

Required Education and Experience

  • Exemplary Attendance.
  • Ability to communicate both verbally and in written form.
  • Ability to adhere to safety standards.
  • The ability to speak, read, hear, understand and follow directions with or without reasonable accommodations is required.
  • Valid Drivers License or the ability to acquire a valid Drivers license.
