Essential Functions
- Assists with all processing operations in the plant with emphasis on a production area or line such as packaging or evisceration.
- Ensures production deadlines are met, quality standards are met, and safety standards are followed.
- Inspects product coming out of various machines to ensure proper removal of waste and correct cuts are made.
- Maintains understanding of plant equipment operations and belt lifts.
- Operates equipment as directed by management and per safety protocols and operating instructions.
- Fills orders per special customer requests and works to deliver in a timely and efficient manner.
- Prepares boxes and packaging as required to meet customer orders.
- Interfaces with maintenance crew to ensure equipment operations are consistent with product quality standards.
- Alerts maintenance or management when equipment or product quality falls below standards or there are safety concerns.
- Works with sanitation crew to ensure cleanliness of area equipment and adhere to food safety standards.
- Sorts fish according to specification while paying close attention to detail and working towards continual improvement.
- Produces products people can trust by recognizing poor quality and communicating with management.
- Completes all tasks including equipment operations and knife handling based on required safety guidelines.
- Maintains appropriate housekeeping and sanitation procedures within the plant and washes down station regularly and as required.
- Provides prompt, friendly, and courteous service to internal and external customers.
- Pursues sustainability of our natural resources with every decision, decreasing waste and being conscious of individual choices.
- Advocates for positive change within our plant and company, empowering one another.

Work Environment
- This job operates in an industrial processing plant environment.
- This position requires work in a refrigerated, cold and humid environment and requires standing for long periods of time.
- The work environment is cold and damp and PPE such as slip resistant rubber boots are required.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
- Work time is from 6:30 a.m. with a flexible end time of between 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. or whenever processing is completed.
- Some weekend availability is required.
Travel
- Travel is not required.
Required Education And Experience
- The ability to speak, read, hear, understand and follow directions with or without reasonable accommodations is required.
- H.S. Education is preferred.
- Experience in food manufacturing or an industrial plant is preferred.
