Processing Operator (HTST) 3rd Shift

Purity Dairies, a farmer-owned brand of Dairy Farmers of America (DFA), manufactures a variety of dairy products under well-known regional brands. Our Nashville facility is looking for a Pasteurizer Operator to join our team and help deliver the goodness of dairy to communities everywhere.

About the role

The Pasteurizer Operator is responsible for operating HTST machines and making necessary adjustments to ensure production of products is made in a safe, efficient, and high-quality manner. You will maintain communication with other departments, management, and employees, notifying them of any problems or concerns that may restrict production efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Operate HTST machines and adjust settings to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality production.
• Maintain clear communication with other departments and management regarding production issues.
• Complete all required paperwork in a clear, legible, and accurate format.
• Document all required information in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and communicate effectively with all departments.
• Work effectively in a team environment within a fast-paced production setting.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 6 months of related experience required.
• Able to perform basic arithmetic (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division) using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Must be able to stand, walk, push, or pull for a majority of the day.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
• Able to work in a wet environment with some exposure to dust, gas, or fumes.
• Willing to work flexible hours, including overtime, weekends, and holidays.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Must pass all pre-employment screens, including drug, background, and criminal checks.

Pay

Up to $26.25 per hour.

Schedule

Sunday–Thursday, 9:00 PM–5:00 AM.
