The Processing Associate supports the cannabis production team by preparing and handling raw materials used in the processing department. This role focuses on maintaining quality and consistency of materials, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards, and keeping accurate inventory records. Material Processors work closely with team members to maintain efficiency, cleanliness, and organization on the production floor, directly contributing to the company's goal of producing high-quality products in a safe and compliant environment.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor cannabis material during processing phases.
  • Weigh, track, and record inventory accurately.
  • Absorb and record inventory data using a barcode system.
  • Assist with material handling and movement throughout production.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas to ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
  • Conduct basic visual checks to confirm material quality.
  • Follow standard operating procedures and quality guidelines.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years old.
  • 1+ years of manufacturing experience with a focus on inventory tracking, product safety, consumer safety, and maintaining high product quality.
  • Professional kitchen or baking experience is preferred.
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations for proper batch formulation.
  • Keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to perform under pressure and prioritize tasks effectively.

Qualifications

  • Comfortable working in industrial environments with exposure to noise, dust, heat, cold, and other manufacturing conditions.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform repetitive physical tasks for extended periods.
  • Must be physically capable of sitting or standing for long periods or entire shifts.
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull objects weighing up to 50 pounds unassisted.

Pay

$15.00 per hour

Schedule

This position is scheduled on a full-time basis. Specific shift times and workdays are determined by the operation and may vary by location. Business needs may require work on evenings, weekends, and holidays, as well as occasional overtime. Scheduled start and end times, assigned shifts, and workdays are subject to change based on staffing and operational requirements. Whenever feasible, advance notice of schedule changes will be provided.
