Responsibilities
- Compiles, verifies, and sorts information from medical provider bills to prepare source data for computer entry.
- Reviews data for deficiencies or errors, corrects incompatibilities, and reviews output.
- Enters customer and account data from source documents within specified time limits; inputs medical provider bills into our system so accounting can create invoices.
- Continually works with complex accounts that require critical thinking and analytical skills.
- Maintains strict HIPAA compliance for all customer information.
- Performs basic math calculations to determine appropriate rates for some medical provider services.
Requirements
- A High School or GED degree.
- Somewhat college-level education is a plus.
- Some knowledge of medical CPT coding is a plus.
- Previous office work experience, preferably in a high-volume, customer-oriented environment, is preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Self-motivated with the ability to take direction and work autonomously.
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and Outlook.
- Excellent typing skills and comfort with a keyboard required, (10-key familiarity).
- Basic math knowledge; able to use a calculator.
- Show willingness to learn and grow in the role.
- Must be able to work in-office at our Denver, CO or Las Vegas, NV office.
