About the role

Festival Foods is a Wisconsin grocer dedicated to community service and guest satisfaction. We operate 40+ full-service supermarkets throughout Wisconsin. This role is full-time and reports to the Meat Department Manager.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the processed meats area, overseeing stocking, rotation, and merchandising.
  • Ensure quality and freshness of products, checking dates and packaging.
  • Create and maintain attractive displays.
  • Support and guide the team, setting clear expectations and reinforcing performance standards.
  • Support Meat Department associates in the absence of the Department Manager.
  • Answer questions and recommend options for guests.
  • Lead by example, demonstrating great guest service, teamwork, and attention to detail.
  • Manage inventory and ensure accurate pricing.
  • Maintain a clean workspace, supporting food safety.
  • Meet daily department goals, ensuring product availability and full displays by 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. every day.

Requirements

  • High School Education or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • WI Certified Food Manager License (reimbursed by Festival Foods).
  • Ability to lead, coach, and motivate others.
  • Great oral and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of technology and computer use.
  • Ability to deal tactfully and effectively with guests and associates.
  • Knowledge and understanding of all safety requirements and company policies.
  • Ability to apply on-the-job safety training to recognize and react to potential safety hazards.
  • Physical ability to stand for long periods, walk the store, bend, stoop, and kneel regularly.
  • Functional sensory abilities for visual monitoring, creating displays, and operating equipment.
  • Ability to lift up to 60 pounds occasionally.
  • Repetitive tasks for prolonged periods.

Qualifications

  • High School Education or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • WI Certified Food Manager License (reimbursed by Festival Foods).

Pay

The Processed Meat Manager position is full-time and pays according to the store's hourly wage scale.

Schedule

The Processed Meat Manager works a full-time schedule, which may include mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
