Process Technician Injection Molding

Systematic Problem Solving and Optimization

• Setting up and operating injection molding machines to produce plastic parts.
• Following all aspects of processing safety protocol.
• Changing out molds, completing setups, and repairing molds.
• Making sure support equipment is prepared, such as dryers and color feeders.
• Maintaining cleanliness of the department and all processing equipment.
• Carrying out mold cleaning and documenting processes.
• Contributing to a highly productive, efficient, and team-oriented work environment.
• Collaborating with Team Leader on line clearance and 5S.
• Communicating effectively with production personnel, supervisors, and engineers to ensure quality.
• Maintaining good documentation practices.
• Cooperating with internal production areas and other interfaces (e.g., injection molding, quality, TCC/SEC, PCU, etc.).
• Participating in FMEAs according to specifications.
• Participating in machine and peripheral specifications.
• Supporting transfer projects according to specifications.
• Being the Internal Contact Person (e.g., for managers, customer service).
• Depending on the project focus: Assuming the PLP role in projects with TCC/SEC

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on experience in injection molding.
• A working knowledge and experience with injection molding and ancillary equipment.
• A working knowledge of a wide range of thermoplastic materials and their properties.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Familiarity with injection molding machines and robots.
