What You'll Do
- Align projects to department goals by managing operations, driving metrics, and setting team work plans and priorities based on business needs
- Partner with engineering and production teams to understand products, processes, and quality control plans; lead technicians on process issue analysis and problem solving
- Monitor defect trends, manage MMS and WIP accumulations, and escalate issues to responsible engineering, quality, and production teams
- Disposition special case non-conforming materials and support root cause investigation, corrective action tracking, and repairs/troubleshooting per instructed process
- Ensure quality standards are met throughout the rework process, with no defects escaping the NCM area, while maintaining high safety and ergonomic compliance
- Optimize labor utilization, reduce waste and variability, and proactively plan for labor needs in alignment with production ramp-up and company policies
What You'll Bring
- 2–4 years of supervisory experience preferred, with a proven ability to select, develop, and hold team members accountable through strong organizational and record-keeping practices
- Enthusiastic, take-charge leader who can work independently, set priorities under competing demands, and communicate confidently with executives and cross-functional teams
- Proficient in lean manufacturing methodologies with the ability to develop and manage production performance metrics (efficiency, quality, safety, throughput, costs)
- Strong analytical skills with experience in data collection, analysis, and familiarity with analytical and statistical software systems
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the capacity to learn systems quickly, teach them to others, and develop creative process improvements
- Demonstrates adherence to EHS regulations and leads by example; able to work well under pressure while managing tight deadlines and shifting priorities
- Fluent in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); 2 years of college/technical school or equivalent experience; ability to work flexible shifts including nights and weekends if necessary
