Process Server

About the role

This is a 1099 independent contractor position with weekly compensation based on completed jobs. ProVest LLC is seeking dependable, detail-oriented professionals with experience and judged signed court appointments in legal document delivery to serve civil process in Macomb, Illinois and the following counties: Logan, Mason, Menard, Morgan, Richland, Clay, Wabash, Lawrence, Rock Island, Henry, Mercer, Henderson, Warren, Knox, Hancock, Fulton, McDonough, Brown, Cass, Pike, Scott, and Schuyler.

Ideal candidates include experienced process servers and current or former law enforcement professionals.

Responsibilities

• Make diligent service attempts: up to 5 attempts at varied times (morning, evening, weekend, etc.)
• Activate cases within 24 hours of receiving documents (via FedEx or email)
• Sign and notarize all eligible affidavits within 48 hours of service completion
• Utilize ProVest's mobile applications to:
  • Upload photo evidence of addresses
  • Submit detailed attempt notes
  • Record service or non-service outcomes

Requirements

• Reliable transportation
• PERC Card
• Valid driver’s license
• Active auto insurance
• Smartphone with ability to run mobile applications
• Strong communication and documentation skills
• Commitment to professionalism, punctuality, and attention to detail
