Process Quality Technician(internal employee only)

This position reports to the Quality Control Supervisor and is part of a team that ensures products and systems meet stated requirements and customer expectations.

Responsibilities

• Conduct test protocols to ensure products and systems meet specified requirements and customer expectations.
• Provide support to other functional teams to perform test protocols.
• Ensure data availability according to ABB QO guidelines.
• Utilize safety systems to maintain an accident-free workplace and notify others of unsafe situations.
• Work with department staff to improve existing test protocols for greater efficiency, accuracy, and reliability.
• Evaluate quantitative metrics to determine compliance with requirements.
• Train Operators/Assemblers in basic quality test routines to support quality-at-source processes.
• Verify quality assurance testing performed as part of the value creation process.

Requirements

• High School Diploma (Electronic/Electrical/Engineering Technology Certification or equivalent preferred).
• Work authorization that permits employment with ABB in the US.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel).

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in manufacturing electrical products.
• Ability to conceptualize steps required with large data sets to achieve specific outcomes.
• Experience as a quality control technician or in related fields.
• Basic knowledge of MINITAB or equivalent statistical software.
• Previous experience in first article inspection validation.
