About the role

The Process Operator will work safely and effectively as a business partner in the production unit to achieve the goals of the manufacturing team. This includes monitoring, maintaining, and controlling equipment and processes in accordance with permits, Standard Operating Procedures, and Daily Operating Instructions. The position aligns with the Group’s Mission, Vision, Values & Strategies, policies, guidelines, international standards, IT platforms, and HSE standards.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain a safe work environment for the operation of the unit.
  • Operate the unit within established controls and parameters.
  • Ensure full environmental compliance and minimize environmental impact.
  • Partner with maintenance and other operations personnel during unit startups, shutdowns, and major or minor maintenance tasks.
  • Respond to unit upsets to prevent escalation of potential issues.
  • Report and investigate incidents or issues related to safety, health, environmental, or production requirements.
  • Serve on the Emergency Response Team (required for 3 years following hire).
  • Perform other job duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Valid Texas Driver’s License.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate Degree in Process Technology.
  • Minimum of two years’ relevant experience in a petrochemical manufacturing facility/refinery.
  • Two or more years of military experience.

Skills

  • Functional ability in Microsoft Office (Word and Excel).
  • Proficient in math: addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills (fluent in English).
  • Ability to read Standard Operating Procedures and other manuals (English).
  • Mechanical aptitude.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to work in a team environment with minimal supervision.
  • High level of attention to detail.
  • Desire to excel and achieve exceptional results.

Schedule

  • Work 12-hour rotating shifts, including evenings and weekends.
  • Must be able to work overtime when required, including call-outs.
