Process Operator

Responsibilities

• Assists in laying out drip lines with the D6 Dozer
• Makes necessary repairs to all piping (Yelomine or HDPE)
• Monitors the offloading of lime
• Operates forklift, bobcat skid-steer, and backhoe
• Assists with and monitors the cyanide driver in offloading liquid cyanide
• Operates the A.A. machine
• Retrieves solution samples and titrates for cyanide content
• Adjusts solution flows to the heap and coordinates piping and flow changes with necessary personnel
• Maintains an inventory of pipe and parts and processes reorders as required
• Adjusts cyanide to the plant and ponds as necessary
• Operates the lime addition station and adjusts the addition rate as dictated by the pH
• Assists with minor repairs to the plants when necessary
• Knows and understands the location of all pregnant and barren ponds, piping, and valves to and from the ponds as well as the Merrill-Crowe and Carbon plants
• Starts the zinc feeder and adjusts the flow rate to ensure the plant operates efficiently, including checking and adjusting the zinc rate
• Works independently as a self-starter
• Follows verbal and written instructions
• Performs other related duties as assigned

• Ability to multitask and prioritize work
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Adaptability to changing requirements and plans
• Ability to work in a high-stress environment
• Willingness to assist elsewhere on the mine site when needed (e.g., crushing crew, leach crew)
• Valid Driver’s License
