Responsibilities

• Operate a wastewater treatment dewatering filter press to separate solids from liquids to support operations across the facility.
• Prioritize health and safety by adhering to policies, processes, and consistently maintaining safe practices.
• Utilize thorough knowledge of loading and unloading procedures in accordance with Company, Federal, State, and Local regulations.
• Assist in unloading dump trailers, roll-off boxes, and tankers of hazardous materials into appropriate treatment pits.
• Use water hoses to decontaminate trucks in CBW/CBR buildings, operate reagent delivery systems, and sump pumps.
• Review laboratory data to determine proper handling and disposal of materials.
• Perform chemical compatibility checks to prevent reactions or other potential issues.
• Maintain an understanding of and adherence to related State and Federal regulations for waste management.
• Operate a fork truck, bobcat with attachments, and other Arcwood vehicles as needed.
• Maintain accurate operating logs and associated documentation.
• Complete basic spill cleanup with little direction.
• Maintain general housekeeping including keeping operating areas, walls, pipes, and floors in clean and safe conditions.
• Utilize appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as needed including boots, gloves, suits, eye/ear protection, and a respirator.
• Take on additional duties as assigned to support the team and organization.

Requirements

• High-school diploma or equivalent (required).
• 1+ years of related experience (required).
• 24-40-hour HAZWOPER certificate (preferred).

Physical Job Requirements

Physical demands include the ability to perform tasks requiring standing, walking, bending, and lifting. Must be able to wear required PPE, including respirators, for extended periods.

Schedule

Monday through Friday, 6:00 PM – 4:30 AM.
