Process Operator - Albert City Ethanol Plant

About the role

As a Process Operator at Valero, you will oversee the daily operation of an assigned area of the production process within the plant. Your responsibilities include monitoring and controlling plant operations, reviewing the operation of the plant to monitor production and quality, and participating in projects that improve efficiency and/or reduce operating costs.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe work environment while working a 12-hour rotating shift schedule.
• Monitor and control plant operations, ensuring compliance with operating parameters.
• Document and monitor process variables, sample data, and routine tasks.
• Interpret and take appropriate action based on Quality Assurance/Quality Control program results.
• Communicate with all departments within the facility to ensure safe and efficient execution of daily plant activities.
• Monitor and troubleshoot process issues and equipment.
• Prepare equipment for maintenance/contractors and ensure all work is performed safely.
• Participate in safety, health, and environmental programs (LOTO, Safe Work Permit, FSMA).
• Maintain plant cleanliness and monitor use and inventory of process chemicals and supplies.
• Perform other duties as assigned to maintain a safe, reliable, and consistent operation.

Requirements

• A high school diploma or GED.
• Able and willing to work on-site at the Valero Albert City Ethanol Plant.
• Associate Degree in Process Technology or equivalent experience preferred.
• Experience in the operation of a dry-mill ethanol plant preferred.

Qualifications

Pay

This position is hourly non-exempt status, which means you are eligible for overtime pay.

Schedule

You will work a 12-hour rotating shift schedule.
