About the role
The Process Engineering Technician provides crucial assistance to the engineering staff to evaluate and improve manufacturing processes, with a primary focus on supporting the Process Engineering team for both ceramic and non-ceramic platelet products. This role involves working closely with engineers to ensure operations run efficiently, safely, and in compliance with industry standards, as well as assisting with the qualification and evaluation of new equipment or upgrades.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical assistance to engineers to complete projects and support production goals.
- Collaborate with the Equipment Engineering Team to gather and summarize data for machine characterization, including performing or managing GR & R studies.
- Assist in developing operating procedures and standards, including determining requirements for preventative maintenance cycles and identifying recommended spare parts.
- Conduct studies to evaluate or qualify new processes, enhancements, or changes in equipment operation, and present data in charts, graphs, and other useful formats.
- Suggest equipment purchases, modifications, or calibration changes to improve productivity or reduce costs.
Requirements
- Associate's Degree in Engineering Technology, Manufacturing, or a related field preferred. In lieu of education, a minimum of 5 years of equivalent experience working with similar manufacturing materials, processes, and related software will be considered.
- Proficiency in software and tools used for data collection and analysis.
- Ability to accurately interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Understanding of safety protocols and government regulations to ensure compliance.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization.
