Process Engineering Technician 2nd shift

About the role

The Process Engineering Technician will support all engineering processes in the facility, including chemical, mechanical, and photo processes. Training will emphasize on-the-job experience while blending mentorship and theoretical training. Safety is a critical component of the manufacturing environment; the Technician will be provided with Personal Prote Equipment (PPE) and will be expected to follow all safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Complete routine checks of equipment, process, and product on a regular schedule and execute corrective actions.
• Determine acceptability of product and decide whether to proceed or change the process.
• Determine root cause of defects.
• Write and edit procedures.
• Support or initiate projects to improve overall process quality.
• Work with Suppliers/Vendors/Engineers to troubleshoot issues.
• Operate production equipment to run special engineering tasks.

Requirements

• Ability to troubleshoot equipment and software.
• Good computer skills including a strong understanding of Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft PowerPoint (equivalent software experience acceptable, but Microsoft versions will be used on the job).
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks, including short- and long-term assignments.
• Able to stand throughout a shift, lift 40 pounds, work within confined spaces, safely work on ladders, and perform work in a crouched or overhead posture.
• Willingness to work overtime, including weekends.
• PCB knowledge is preferred but not required.
• Technical communication skills.
• Must comply with TTM Export Control Policies and Procedures and all applicable laws including ITAR, EAR, and OFAC, including:
  • Identifying ITAR product on the manufacturing floor and understanding that access to these products and related technical data is restricted to only US Citizens and US Permanent Residents.
  • Recognizing Foreign Person visitors by badge differentiation.
  • Following authorization procedures for bringing foreign visitors into facilities (VAL).
  • Understanding the Export and ITAR requirements for shipments leaving the US.
  • Managing vendor approvals for ITAR manufacturing and services.

Qualifications

• Education: Associate’s degree or higher in engineering OR equivalent professional experience and a high school diploma or GED.
• Experience: Experience in manufacturing required.

Benefits are available on the 1st of the month following date of hire. For some positions, only PTO and holiday benefits are offered.

Pay

A reasonable estimate of the current range is $58,996 - $93,252.

Additional compensation may include an annual or quarterly company bonus based on position assignment. Positions hired for alternative shifts may be eligible for a shift premium based on the assigned shift and location.
