Process Engineer, Senior
About the Role
The Senior Process Improvement Engineer – Acute Care is responsible for leading enterprise-wide operational improvement initiatives that enhance efficiency, quality, productivity, and patient outcomes across acute care operations. The role utilizes Lean, Six Sigma, process redesign, and data-driven methodologies to analyze workflows, eliminate waste, improve resource utilization, and implement sustainable operational improvements. The position partners closely with department leaders and cross-functional teams while mentoring Process Improvement Engineers and supporting strategic organizational goals.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required; Industrial Engineering preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in process improvement engineering or operational improvement.
- Experience with workflow redesign, labor management, productivity improvement, and change management.
- Knowledge of project management and data analysis methodologies.
- Experience using healthcare benchmarking tools such as Vizient is preferred.
- Professional certifications such as Lean Six Sigma, Prosci, CQI, Process Redesign, Rapid Improvement, or Business Process Reengineering are preferred.

- Apply Lean, Six Sigma, and process improvement methodologies to optimize workflows.
- Lead cross-functional teams in planning and implementing operational improvement initiatives.
- Develop sustainable process improvements that enhance quality, efficiency, and productivity.
- Mentor and train Process Improvement Engineers.
- Perform workflow mapping, data analysis, and performance evaluations.
- Prepare reports, dashboards, and presentations for senior leadership.
- Support strategic initiatives focused on cost reduction, revenue enhancement, and operational excellence.
- Collaborate with department leaders to align improvement initiatives with organizational objectives.
- Monitor project outcomes and ensure long-term sustainability of implemented improvements.
