The Modular Team

Our modular team works in a manufacturing factory environment to deliver projects ready for installation. We improve quality and safety for customers, serving large operators in the data center industry, including search engine companies, social media platforms, co-location providers, and cloud service hosts.

About the Role

The Process Engineer is responsible for developing, implementing, and continuously improving manufacturing processes to enhance safety, quality, efficiency, and productivity. This role supports new product development, evaluates existing processes, conducts capacity and labor planning studies, and recommends improvements to optimize workflow, material flow, tooling, and throughput.

Responsibilities

• Participate in new product design and launch.
• Evaluate current processes and make recommendations for improvements.
• Perform capacity studies to interpret future or changing needs.
• Ensure manufacturing processes and facilities comply with all government laws and regulations.
• Assist with labor planning, material flows, and review schedules to understand future requirements.
• Examine and plan workflow, equipment placement, and space requirements to improve efficiency.
• Coordinate equipment maintenance and repair services to ensure safety and operational readiness.
• Design plant layouts and 3D facility models.
• Assist with writing work instructions.
• Review current tooling and processes and recommend changes to improve throughput.
• Work with internal teams and vendors to establish product and process specifications.
• Estimate production times, staffing requirements, and related costs.
• Travel approximately 10% of the time to vendors or other sites.

Work Environment

• Office and assembling area setting.
• Travel to vendors, which may be loud and/or dirty.
• May require sitting/standing at a desk/computer or walking the production floor for extended periods.
• May be required to work on job sites in various weather conditions.
• Required safety gear: Hard Hat, Gloves, Safety Glasses, and appropriate footwear (supplier or job site—Safety toe).
• Office and plant setting with sitting, standing, and walking for extended times.
• Lifting up to 25 lbs is not uncommon.

Requirements

• Degree in mechanical, structural, or industrial engineering.
• 2 to 5 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Metal fabrication and welding experience is a plus.
• Self-motivated with an aggressive work ethic.
• Willingness to work overtime as required.
• Exceptional attendance record.

Pay

Salary Range: $106,500 to $140,000. This position is eligible for the annual performance bonus plan.
