Process Engineer IV

Duties
- Planning and Scheduling
Defining a scope of the project engineering requirements, estimating project man hours and requirements.
Assigning work to departmental personnel.
Concisely describing the project requirements by means of engineer’s sketches and verbal instructions.
Coinciding and organizing work with departmental personnel, as well as other disciplines.
Maintaining a good working relationship.
Checking drawing packages (ie: P & IDs and Isometrics) for completeness and accuracy.
Supervising overall engineering package quality and production.
Give adequate instructions to enable the design staff to perform their task with quality work.
Perform calculations required for discipline.
Perform final calculation check and approval for completeness and accuracy.
- Performing other job-related duties as assigned.

Education And Experience

Bachelor of Science Degree in a related discipline from an accredited university with at least nine (9) years of experience refinery, industrial, petrochemical or utility industries; or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above.

Licenses Requirements

• Valid Driver’s License as per State law or requirement.
• Professional Engineer License preferred.

Specific Skills

• Knowledge related to Process Engineering calculations and design.
• Experienced with Process design computer applications.
• Knowledge and proficient with computer software (i.e., Microsoft Office).
• In-depth knowledge of regulatory codes and requirements for Process Engineering duties.

Physical Requirements

• Able to climb, work at high elevations and work in confined spaces.
• Able to work day or night shifts.
• Able to work 10-to-12-hour shifts.
• Able to work in protective clothing which may elevate body temperatures by several degrees Fahrenheit for periods of up to 60 minutes without a break.
• Able to use multi-level stair towers and rung ladders unassisted.
• Able to hear safety alarms and signals while wearing hearing protection.
• Able to sit at desk and operate computer for extended periods of time.
• Able to stand, use hands and fingers, grip, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl;
• Able to talk and hear.
• Able to see with visual acuity and distinguish between colors.
• Able to operate a motor vehicle and have a valid driver’s license.
• Able to lift and carry 15lbs. on a regular basis is required and at times lifting up to 50 lbs. may be required.
