Process Engineer II
Responsibilities
- Identify improvement opportunities in existing manufacturing operations, justify procedural changes or process modifications, and establish operating procedures for the plant to attain lower manufacturing costs, increased productivity, and reduced cycle times
- Design, run, test, and upgrade systems and assess processes
- Develop routines and innovative solutions to improve production rates and quality of output
- Conduct safety assessments to ensure safe practices
- Improve and create process documentation, training, and standard operating procedures
- Optimize processes to attain lower manufacturing costs, increased productivity, and reduced cycle times
- Lead tactical site-level projects and contribute to regional and divisional projects
- Identify, communicate, and overcome obstacles that may prohibit meeting production requirements
- Improve complex processes by partnering with operating employees in various departments to collect, analyze, and implement results via training or capital expenditure recommendations
- Oversee contractor partnerships
Qualifications
- Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age
- Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without needing sponsorship for employment work visa status now or in the future
- Must have a bachelor’s degree or higher or at least four (4) years of work experience in engineering
- Must have at least two (2) years of work experience in a manufacturing, distribution, operations function or have completed a Sherwin-Williams Development Program in an Engineering function
- Must have at least two (2) years of work experience in an engineering function
- Must have completed formal training in and/or have at least one (1) year of work experience applying continuous improvement tools such as Six Sigma, 5-S, Lean Manufacturing, Transactional Lean, etc.
About the Role
This position supports a 24/7 operation and may require availability off hours. This position is also eligible for bonus based on performance and subject to the terms of the Company’s applicable plans.

Pay
Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case and will impact where actual compensation may fall within the stated wage range. The wage range listed for this role takes into account the wide range of factors considered in making compensation decisions including skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs.
