Position Summary
This role leads process improvement efforts within a Distribution Center using the Walmart Performance System (WPS) to eliminate losses, improve performance, and develop associate and leadership capability while supporting Walmart’s core values.
Key Responsibilities
- Process Improvement & Performance
- Uses tools and methods such as 5S, root cause analysis, Six Sigma, and time and motion studies to eliminate losses in an area within a Distribution Center according to Network Process Structure using Walmart Performance System (WPS) programs.
- Analyzes KPIs, eliminates losses, and creates standard work to reduce process variation.
- Reviews and responds to process improvement projects owned by area managers.
- Applies new network One Best Way playbooks and provides input to Divisional Focused Improvement Teams on project ideation and replication opportunities.
- Tactical deployment of the WPS program methodology.
- Manages project execution of top losses in the functional area and builds the capability of other area managers and associates.
- Supports area loss profile analysis and performance metrics.
- Develops gap analysis to support WPS integration.
- Supports Department Managers with WPS programs, projects, associate engagement, and KPI improvements within the process area.
- Leads savings projects within the area of responsibility by taking loss out of the process.

- Provides supervision and development opportunities for associates by hiring and training, mentoring, assigning duties, providing recognition, and promoting a belonging mindset in the workplace.
- Ensures compliance with company policies and procedures and supports company mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity.
- Implements related action plans.
- Utilizes and supports the Open Door Policy.
- Provides direction and guidance on applying these in executing business processes and practices.
Compensation & Benefits
- Annual salary range: $80,000.00 – $120,000.00
- Additional compensation: Annual or quarterly performance bonuses
- Additional compensation for certain positions may include: Regional Pay Zone (RPZ) (based on location)

Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or prior experience in Process Improvement OR 2 years' of process improvement, or relevant work experience.
- Microsoft Office Suite, analytical skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Co-Op/Internship in Manufacturing, Supply Chain, or Distribution with experience applying basic Lean/Continuous Improvement Tools
