Process Engineer

Responsibilities

• Develop Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs), and General Arrangement Drawings.
• Perform equipment sizing calculations for compressors, chillers, pumps, and other process equipment.
• Perform process line sizing calculations.
• Perform control valve, pressure relief-device, and orifice sizing calculations.
• Develop equipment and instrument datasheets.
• Coordinate with vendors for the selection of instrumentation and equipment.
• Review and check the work of other process engineers for accuracy and completeness.
• Coordinate design inputs and design activities with other engineering disciplines in a team environment.
• Meet expectations for attendance and punctuality.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) in Chemical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
• Other engineering degrees will be considered with applicable experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of related experience and/or training.
• Experience with Department of Energy (DOE) nuclear projects is a significant plus.
• Must be able to satisfactorily perform the key duties listed above.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen.
