Process Engineer
About the role
We’re seeking a Process Engineer who is passionate about driving efficiency, quality, and innovation in the manufacturing of pneumatic components and systems. You’ll play a pivotal role in developing and refining manufacturing processes, implementing standardized procedures, and designing tools and training that empower operators to succeed.
Responsibilities
- Develop and optimize manufacturing processes for pneumatic components and assemblies to improve efficiency and quality
- Draft/implement written procedures to outline manufacturing or assembly steps
- Implement process fixturing to facilitate manufacturing or assembly steps
- Analyze production data (cycle time, scrap, downtime) and implement process improvements
- Lead process-based investigations and corrective actions associated with Nonconforming reports (NCRs) and/or Return Material Authorization (RMAs)
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies
- Support new product introduction (NPI), including process design, tooling, and validation
- Collaborate with design engineering to ensure manufacturability (DFM) of pneumatic products
- Implement and improve automated assembly, testing systems, and process controls
- Conduct root cause analysis and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards (e.g., IS
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in manufacturing, preferably with mechanical or pneumatic products
- Demonstrated experience with assembly processes, machining operations (CNC), and precision components
- General understanding of sealing methods (O-rings, gaskets), and leak prevention
- Familiarity with pressure and flow testing methods and equipment
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Detail oriented
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced production environment
Qualifications
- Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field
- Preferred Qualifications: Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification, Knowledge of ISO-9001 or similar quality standards, Familiarity with CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD) for tooling and fixture design, Experience with Statistical Process Control (SPC)
