Essential Job Functions
- Engineering of assigned area of glass fabrication
- Manage process related tooling in preparation for each production run
- Troubleshoot line operations
- Issue and revise drawing and process sheets as a result of continuous improvement in the process
- Develop and implement continuous improvement in capability and/or scrap reduction
- Verify conformance of components to customer specifications
- Analyse weekly production results, identify deficiencies and implement the necessary improvements
- Work with operators to reduce defects, increase throughput and improve the products’ dimensional capability
- Train operators how to safely and effectively operate plant equipment and machinery
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (, Mechanical, Manufacturing or Electrical) or any equivalent technical degree
- Six Sigma certified is preferred
- Years of Experience: 3+ years’ in a Manufacturing Environment preferred
- PLC experience preferred
- Fluent in use of CAD software (SolidWorks preferred)
- Experience with manufacturing equipment or assembly lines
- Solid understanding of Six Sigma, SPC, 5 Why, Pareto and other tools to improve and sustain production levels
- Proven understanding of tools, quality of product and ability to implement improvements to operations
Other Requirements
- Work beyond the traditional 40 hours per week may be required as workload or projects dictate, including weekends and holidays

- Advanced/Intermediate skill level with Microsoft Office Suite; Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
