Process Engineer
Position Overview
As a Process Engineer, you will play a key role in evaluating, improving, and supporting manufacturing processes within assigned work centers and work cells. Your work will ensure material integrity, processing reliability, and product performance across a range of metals and specialty alloys. This role is highly collaborative, working closely with engineering, operations, and quality teams to ensure safe, efficient, and consistent materials processing. You will help drive continuous improvement efforts, support root-cause investigations, and shape material-related standards across the organization.
Required Qualifications
- Strong communication skills and an interest in working cross-functionally with engineering, operations, and quality teams.
- Proficiency with MRP systems and Microsoft Office programs.
- Bachelor’s degree in Materials Science & Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field (Materials Science preferred).
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in process engineering, materials engineering, or manufacturing involving critical material requirements.
- Must be a U.S. citizen and able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) Security Clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in manufacturing environments involving metals, specialty alloys, or complex material systems.
- Advanced understanding of material behavior, microstructure, and process/material interactions.
- Master’s degree is a plus.

Pay
The base salary range for this position in Tennessee (US-TN) at the start of employment is expected to be between $76,000 and $119,000 per year. However, the base salary offered is based on local job market factors, and may vary further depending on factors specific to the selected job candidate, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations. Subject to these considerations, the total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, such as an annual cash incentive in addition to a full range of medical, retirement, and/or other benefits. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided at such time the selected job candidate receives an offer of employment.
