Process Development Engineer
About the role
Join TI's Advanced Technology Development organization, focused on state-of-the-art semiconductor technology development. We are looking for a highly motivated PhD candidate or early-career professional to join our experienced technology reliability development team. In this role, you will perform TCAD simulation, characterization, and modeling of transistor reliability mechanisms.
Responsibilities
- TCAD device simulation for device reliability optimization
- Assess the impact of process/layout on transistor reliability
- Develop Reliability Models based on data and underlying degradation kinetics
- Perform bench testing and collect data
- Develop new test capability using parametric analyzers and bench equipment
- Long-term package-level testing for reliability modeling
- BTI process optimization for advanced analog/CMOS nodes
The person performing this role must be capable of planning effectively, driving schedules, meeting critical deadlines on multiple tasks in parallel, leading technical discussions in their area of expertise, and working effectively across organizational boundaries. They must clearly communicate project status and actions, interface with multiple organizations, and work well on a diverse team to accomplish goals.
Requirements
- PhD in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Materials Science, or related degree
- Cumulative 3.0/4.0 GPA or higher
Skills
- Knowledge of semiconductor device physics and reliability
- Strong analytical and programming skills (Python, MATLAB, etc.)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to take initiative and drive for results
- Strong time management skills enabling on-time project delivery
- Ability to work well in a team environment and collaborate effectively with people in different functions
- Demonstrated ability to build strong, influential relationships
- Good listener with excellent verbal and written communication skills
