Process Development Engineer-3

About the role

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and improving assembly (packaging) processes in a manufacturing environment. A strong background in electronic packaging processes is essential, with experience in one or more of the following: wire bonding, solder attach, polymer dispensing, transfer molding, trim and form, writing work instructions and PFMEA, statistical process control charts, automotive supplier manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and improve assembly (packaging) processes in a manufacturing environment
• Ensure compliance with quality standards and regulations
• Develop and implement process improvements based on data analysis and feedback
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve issues and enhance efficiency
• Write work instructions and perform PFMEA (Failure Modes and Effects Analysis)
• Implement and maintain statistical process control charts
• Support the development and implementation of new manufacturing processes

Requirements

• A thorough and detailed understanding of electronic packaging processes
• Experience in one or more of the following: wire bonding, solder attach, polymer dispensing, transfer molding, trim and form
• Volume automated manufacturing expertise in at least one of the process areas listed
• Strong consideration will be given to candidates with experience in automotive supplier manufacturing

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in electronic packaging or manufacturing
• Proficiency in statistical process control and quality management systems
• Ability to lead and mentor a team
