Process Controls Engineer

About the role

The Process Controls Engineer will focus on process automation and control systems in a 24/7 manufacturing environment, working with DCS and PLC-based systems to optimize plant operations, reliability, and process performance.

Responsibilities

• Design, program, and maintain control systems
• Support plant optimization initiatives
• Develop and manage HMI (Human Machine Interface)
• Provide troubleshooting support for automation issues
• Optimize plant processes and monitor performance

Requirements

• Solid understanding of Emerson DeltaV DCS and Allen Bradley PLCs
• Experience with DCS and PLC programming and maintenance
• Knowledge of industrial automation and process control systems
• Experience with PI Systems or similar platforms

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in process controls engineering
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Ladder Logic, SFC, and/or FBD

Skills

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Knowledge of safety protocols and regulations
