Responsibilities

• Performs patient and non-patient functions under the direction of the Registered Professional Nurse.
• Performs a range of self-directed support activities that contribute to the overall efficiency of the perioperative area(s).
• Inventorying, disassembling, cleaning, reassembling, and maintaining operating room equipment.
• Positioning patients and preparing them for procedures.
• Assists with case cart preparation if needed.
• Maintains a clean, sanitary, orderly procedural environment.
• Transports patients as required.
• Functions as an integral member of the operating room team to maintain a safe, professional, respectful, and effective patient care environment.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required.
• BCLS - Basic Life Support AHS BLS Certification upon hire required.
