Job Duties
Provides customer service to internal and external customers, which includes answering phones and greeting walk-in visitors, responding to requests for information from staff and/or the public, and answering routine questions.
Performs clerical tasks, which includes review and acceptance of electronic and over the counter filings; collecting fees and other payments; receiving, processing, sorting, filing, and/or distributing a variety of correspondence, materials, billings, payments, deliveries, mail, and/drop paperwork, and other applicable documents.
Enters information into applicable court databases and/or other computerized systems to collect and maintain court records and information in assigned area of responsibility and process court motions/filings.
Receives and processes, utilizes exceptional attention to detail, to promote effective and expeditious decision making of all cases associated with probate filings which includes but not limited to estates, wills, special administrations, guardianships, and conservatorships.
Prepares, records, and/or maintains information, to include verifying filings and information for accuracy and ensuring appropriate corrections are completed.
Performs other duties of a similar nature or level.
Requirements/Qualifications
- Minimum Qualifications: Associate degree in related field or High School Diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.) combined with 4 years of related experience to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above.
- Note: An equivalent combination of relevant education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above will also be considered.
- All educational credits must be granted from an accredited institution approved by the U.S. Dept. of Education.

Physical Requirements
Positions in this class work is primarily sedentary, although some slight physical effort may be required, not to exceed 20 lbs.
