Position Summary
The Department of Finance maintains a pool of candidates for pro tempore positions. These are limited-duration appointments potentially renewable for up to three years. Pro tem faculty members work under the supervision of the Senior Associate Dean for Faculty and Research or the department head.
Minimum Requirements
- Instructor: Master’s degree. Exceptional circumstances allow a BA/BS degree and evidence of substantial professional experience to substitute for an advanced degree.
- Lecturer: Terminal degree in relevant field.
- Professor of Practice: Substantial basis of experience equivalent to a tenured professor (at least 12 years), national/international reputation for excellence, and a rich and extensive background in the field.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to contribute positively to a diverse community and work effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
- Ability or potential for quality teaching.
