Pro Services Manager

About the Role

This position provides leadership for the Pro business within a designated sales territory, driving sales growth and profitability through appropriate marketing and sales methodologies while building account relationships. You will monitor key performance indicators for assigned professional customers and meet or exceed financial performance goals in collaboration with the Chief Executive Merchant and Regional Pro Services Manager. The role involves reviewing Pro customer satisfaction results to understand customer perspectives and drive local decisions to improve competitive edge.

Responsibilities

• Prospect continuously for new clients using techniques such as telephone solicitation, in-store sales, and occasional outside sales.
• Maintain an up-to-date electronic database of all prospects as specified by the company.
• Develop pricing and business development strategies in collaboration with company and location management.
• Work with sales, operations, and marketing teams to focus efforts on developed and internet leads, and create campaigns to maximize sales.
• Participate in trade associations, trade shows, and other promotional efforts.
• Analyze the local market to identify opportunities, prospective companies, and associated buyers.
• Follow up on referrals and self-generated leads to identify buyer influences, monitor prospects’ contract calendars, and prepare status reports.
• Plan prospect visits with operations personnel, such as the Regional Pro Service Manager or Chief Executive Merchant.
• Make sales presentations to prospective customers and solicit orders to achieve sales goals.
• Meet regularly with new clients to assess satisfaction and develop a list of strong referrals.
• Develop and submit proposals and responses to RFQs/RFPs after obtaining pricing and specification approvals from management.
• Enhance business development skills through participation in assigned training programs.

Requirements

• Three years of outside sales experience (retail industry preferred).
• Demonstrated skills in sales and business development.
• Ability to analyze sales data, develop recommendations, and propose solutions.
• Excellent planning, organizational, and time management skills.
• Ability to interact effectively at all levels and across diverse cultures.
• Persuasive oral and written communication skills, including delivering "executive-level" presentations.
• Ability to work effectively as a team member and handle project assignments responsibly.
• Strong customer service skills with a results-oriented mindset.
• Ability to multi-task, meet deadlines, and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Daily travel throughout the assigned area to call on existing customers and prospect new business.

Working Conditions

• Frequent travel required, including air and car travel.
• Occasional exposure to a warehouse environment and moving vehicles.
• Moderate to noisy work environment.

Physical/Sensory Requirements: Medium Work – Ability to exert 20-50 pounds of force occasionally, 10-25 pounds frequently, and negligible to 10 pounds constantly. Frequent use of hands and fingers to handle or feel. Occasional standing, walking, reaching, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling.
