Pro Sales Associate - Dallas - Fort Worth

About the role

As a Pro Sales Associate at Behr, you’ll work in a Home Depot store as a sales specialist focusing on professional painting contractors and their unique needs. You’ll build relationships with local pros, assist them with product selection, mix paint, gather necessary tools, and ensure they have a quick and efficient store experience. This role is ideal for launching your career, as no prior paint or sales experience is required—we’ll teach you everything you need to know.

Responsibilities

• Support the Home Depot Pro Desk and introduce yourself to contractors, getting to know their business and needs.
• Maintain and follow up on relationships with professional customers regarding their jobs and future needs.
• Collaborate with Behr’s outside sales reps to assist customers in-store, including pulling and tinting orders for pickup (occasional lifting of up to 75 lbs required).
• Work closely with Home Depot staff to maintain a professional and mutually beneficial vendor relationship.
• Enter new leads and contacts into Salesforce, Behr’s customer relationship management tool.
• Engage with contractors who may be in the store for non-paint items, ensuring they receive excellent service for all their needs.

Requirements

• Outgoing personality with a positive attitude and ability to initiate conversations with strangers.
• Self-starter mentality—willing to jump in and help wherever needed.
• Basic computer skills (prior experience with Salesforce or similar tools is a plus).
• Bilingual in Spanish is a bonus but not required.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent.

Schedule

Work hours vary based on peak selling times, including weekends, holidays, and shifts that may extend until 7 p.m.

Pay

Hiring range: $20.70 - $32.45 USD per hour. Actual compensation may vary based on experience, education, geographic location, and skills. Bonus opportunities available based on sales performance.
