Pro Paint Sales Specialist (Indianapolis, IN)
About the role
The Pro Paint Sales Specialist role within 3M's Consumer Business Group Home Improvement Division offers an opportunity to transition from other private, public, government, or military experience to a 3M career. You'll collaborate with some of the most innovative people around the world, driving 3M sales and revenue in assigned territories.
Responsibilities
- Manage multiple active sales opportunities at several end user sites and locations
- Establish and maintain customer relationships through a comprehensive understanding of the customer’s business/sales models
- Introduce new products and communicate promotions to relevant customers and prospects
- Present and reinforce 3M value proposition to differentiate 3M from competitive offerings
- Maintain and update a working sales plan with strategies and tactics to achieve annual sales forecasts
- Share best practices with the team to promote a positive team environment
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start)
- One (1) year of combined experience in Outside Sales/Inside Sales in a private, public, government or military environment
- Current, Valid Driver’s license is required
Qualifications
- Account management experience
- Salesforce.com experience is desired
- Skills include solution selling, listening skills, gain commitment
- Ability to adapt to a rapidly changing work environment
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to stay on tasks and maintain high productivity levels while working both in-field and home office
- Previous home improvement / construction related experience preferred
- The ability to speak English and Spanish fluently preferred

Work location
This position is remote – territory will cover Indianapolis, IN. Travel may include up to 50% Domestic.
