PRN Transporter

About the role
Provides patient transportation services for all departments as directed by Transport lead/dispatcher/supervisor. Safely transports patients to and from hospital departments. Assists patients in moving to and from wheelchair to bed, etc. Gives, receives, and records patient information accurately for EPIC/Hall Pass and ensures two forms of patient identification prior to transport. Provides interdisciplinary support as requested when not transporting patients. Follows established procedures to help maintain the appearance of the hospital environment. Works collaboratively with the Interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient flow by performing miscellaneous duties as requested. Interacts with all customers in a manner that supports operations in all departments.
Responsibilities
- Safely transport patients to and from hospital departments
- Assist patients in moving between wheelchair and bed
- Accurately give, receive, and record patient information in EPIC/Hall Pass
- Ensure two forms of patient identification prior to transport
- Provide interdisciplinary support when not transporting patients
- Maintain hospital environment appearance
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient flow
- Perform miscellaneous duties as requested
- Interact with all customers to support department operations
Requirements
- Less than High School diploma or equivalent (Required)
- No prior experience required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association required within the first ninety days of employment
Pay
$20.75 per hour
