About the role

We are currently seeking a PRN Telemetry Technician to support our Early Phase Clinical Research Unit. This is a PRN, on-site position, with hours based on study needs, including early mornings, extended hours, and weekends.

Responsibilities

  • Use clinical skills, attention to detail, and sound judgment to support participant safety and data accuracy in a fast-paced research environment.
  • Continuous cardiac monitoring and accurate interpretation of telemetry data.
  • Prompt identification and communication of rhythm changes or abnormalities.
  • Accurate collection and documentation of vital signs.
  • Preparation, placement, and recording of ECGs/Holter monitors.
  • Support emergency response procedures per clinical research standards.
  • Aid with room setup, equipment preparation, and study readiness.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and compliant clinical environment.
  • Support screening and participant monitoring as needed.
  • Perform additional duties as required by study protocols.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Fortrea may consider relevant and equivalent experience in lieu of educational requirements.
  • 0-1 year of telemetry experience.
  • Prior clinical or patient-care experience preferred (telemetry, cardiac, acute care, or hospital setting ideal).

Qualifications

  • Ability to work in an upright and/or stationary position for 6-8 hours per day.
  • Repetitive hand movement of both hands with the ability to make fast, simple, repeated movements of the fingers, hands, and wrists to operate lab equipment.
  • Frequent bending and twisting of upper body and neck.
  • Ability to access and use a variety of computer software developed both in-house and off-the-shelf.
  • Light to moderate lifting and carrying (or otherwise moves) objects including luggage and laptop computer with a maximum lift of 15-20 lbs.
  • Regular and consistent attendance.
  • Variable hours may be required.
