PRN Surgical Technologist

Position Summary

Capital Orthopaedic Surgery Center is seeking a skilled and motivated Surgical Technologist to join their fast-paced orthopedic surgery center team. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, dependable, and passionate about delivering exceptional patient care in a collaborative surgical environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain sterile surgical fields and instrumentation
• Assist surgeons during orthopedic procedures by anticipating surgical needs
• Ensure proper handling, sterilization, and organization of surgical instruments and supplies
• Perform efficient preoperative and postoperative room setup and turnover
• Maintain compliance with infection control, safety, and accreditation standards
• Maintain a clean and organized operating room before, during, and after procedures
• Collaborate effectively with surgeons, nurses, anesthesia staff, and other team members
• Assist with inventory management and supply restocking

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technologist program (preferred)
• Current Surgical Technologist certification preferred (CST)
• 2+ years orthopedic surgery experience strongly preferred
• Knowledge of sterile technique and surgical instrumentation
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to work efficiently in a high-volume surgical setting
• BLS certification required
