About the role

As a PRN Supply Chain Technician, you will be a trusted and valued member of the HCA Healthcare team. You will receive, key, and distribute all supplies within the facility, maintain Min/Max levels for storeroom safety stock, and conduct physical inventories of all POU areas according to schedule.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver supplies in an accurate and timely manner
  • Transport and deliver legend drugs, non-prescription drugs, contrast media, and drug-containing devices within core competencies
  • Place safety stock in the proper location
  • Receive expedited deliveries, accurately key receiving into the SMART system, and deliver to appropriate departments
  • Receive all cross-docked items into the SMART system as appropriate
  • Review Min/Max for storeroom safety stock daily and place orders as needed
  • Count par level areas (POU areas) weekly according to schedule
  • Ensure POU items have the appropriate barcodes
  • Perform QA random checks on totes per approved policy
  • Rotate stock in POU areas and backup storeroom areas to prevent expiration
  • Check after-hour logs for charges and determine how to avoid recurrence
  • Respond appropriately to POU “critical point” messages and stock outs
  • Process all “returns to vendor” or “returns to backup stock” appropriately
  • Assist POU Station personnel and address problems, questions, and concerns at nurses stations

Requirements

  • High School Graduate / GED
  • Previous stock clerk experience (preferred)
  • Some hospital supply experience (preferred)
