PRN Supply Chain Technician

About the role
As a PRN Supply Chain Technician, you will be a trusted and valued member of the HCA Healthcare team. You will receive, key, and distribute all supplies within the facility, maintain Min/Max levels for storeroom safety stock, and conduct physical inventories of all POU areas according to schedule.
Responsibilities
- Deliver supplies in an accurate and timely manner
- Transport and deliver legend drugs, non-prescription drugs, contrast media, and drug-containing devices within core competencies
- Place safety stock in the proper location
- Receive expedited deliveries, accurately key receiving into the SMART system, and deliver to appropriate departments
- Receive all cross-docked items into the SMART system as appropriate
- Review Min/Max for storeroom safety stock daily and place orders as needed
- Count par level areas (POU areas) weekly according to schedule
- Ensure POU items have the appropriate barcodes
- Perform QA random checks on totes per approved policy
- Rotate stock in POU areas and backup storeroom areas to prevent expiration
- Check after-hour logs for charges and determine how to avoid recurrence
- Respond appropriately to POU “critical point” messages and stock outs
- Process all “returns to vendor” or “returns to backup stock” appropriately
- Assist POU Station personnel and address problems, questions, and concerns at nurses stations
Requirements
- High School Graduate / GED
- Previous stock clerk experience (preferred)
- Some hospital supply experience (preferred)
