PRN Speech Pathologist
About the role
A Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) at Cleveland Clinic Martin Health provides diagnosis and treatment for communication and swallowing disorders. This role works closely with a dedicated team to support patients in their recovery.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate patients and apply therapeutic techniques for rehabilitation
- Provide, interpret, and plan patient evaluations and treatments
- Continually review and revise the plan of care as needed
- Prepare and submit progress reports to the physician
- Instruct and counsel medical staff and family members on treatment techniques
- Perform voice evaluations and bedside swallow evaluations
- Demonstrate competency with MBSs for adults and pediatrics
- Follow Code Blue and other protocols as per Clinic policy
- Adhere to National Patient Safety Goals as outlined by the Joint Commission
Requirements
- Masters, Doctorate, or SLP-D Degree from an accredited School of Speech-Language Pathology
- Registered in the State of Florida with a Speech-Language Pathology License (SP)
- Certified in the American-Speech Language Hearing Association (ASHA) with a CCC-SLP
- Eligible for a Speech Pathologist (SP) license in the state of Florida
- Minimum of 4 weekend days per 8-week period and 1 major and 2 minor holidays per year
- Floating across all Martin Health sites as needed

Schedule
This role is PRN (Per Request Not Required), working 8-hour shifts between 7:00AM – 6:00PM with flexibility on start/end times. Flexibility includes working weekends and holidays as required.
