PRN Speech-Language Pathologist - Acute Care

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat patients with diagnoses such as stroke, traumatic brain injury, head and neck cancer, and progressive neurological conditions.
• Deliver evidence-based, quality care to each patient to facilitate return home or to the next level of care.
• Establish timely treatment plans for each patient’s specific needs.
• Demonstrate a positive connection with patients, patient’s family, fellow clinicians, and other team members.
• Build and maintain relationships with hospital staff (physicians, case management, nurses, social workers, dietitians, etc.).

Qualifications

• Graduate of a master's degree program in Speech-Language Pathology.
• Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.
• State licensure in Speech-Language Pathology.
• Basic Life Support Certification from the American Heart Association.
