Responsibilities
- Facilitating tests and collecting data
- Preparing equipment, recording activities, and analyzing results
- Following proper polysomnographic procedures including the use of electrodes, sensors, calibration of equipment, and fitting of airway pressure masks
- Analyzing (scoring) of clinical events, such as respiratory and cardiac episodes, and tabulating final data to be submitted for further review
Job Requirements
- Completion of an accredited Polysomnography program
- Certified by the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists as a Registered Polysomnographic Technologist ("RPSGT") or certified as a Registered Respiratory Therapist
- Current BCLS certification
- Vaccination and immunization records or titers may be required
Physical Demands
- The employee is regularly required to stand, walk, and sit
- The employee is required to use his/her hands to operate office equipment
- The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
