Schedule: 1–3 days per week, including on-call duty one weekend every 5–7 weeks.
About the role
An RN Field Nurse maintains the delivery of quality patient care by following the Patient Care Plan. The position combines direct and indirect care for pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients. You will assess patients, develop and evaluate care plans, supervise CHHAs and CNAs, and document all care provided.
Responsibilities
- Assess the nursing needs of assigned patients, implement the individualized care plan, evaluate its effectiveness, and modify as needed.
- Promote and maintain optimal client care by diagnosing and treating human responses to actual or potential health problems.
- Conduct the initial nursing evaluation visit and re-evaluate the client’s needs as required.
- Initiate, revise, and maintain the plan of care.
- Provide services requiring substantial specialized skills within the nurse’s scope of practice.
- Assign, supervise, and teach other clinical personnel, including written paraprofessional orders.
- Initiate appropriate preventative and rehabilitative nursing procedures.
- Communicate changes in the client’s condition and needs to physicians and other team members.
- Counsel and instruct the client and family on meeting nursing and related needs.
Requirements
- Current Registered Nurse licensure in the state of Mississippi.
- Minimum of one year of nursing experience.
- Current CPR certification.
