Role Overview: The Respiratory Therapist II provides advanced respiratory care, including medication administration, ventilator management, and patient assessments in critical care settings. They deliver patient-centered care, educate patients and staff, and collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement treatment plans. The role emphasizes independent decision-making, protocol adherence, and ensuring a safe, high-quality environment. Key Responsibilities Perform patient assessments, administer aerosolized medications, and manage ventilators.Conduct arterial blood gas sampling and analysis.Educate patients, mentor new employees and students, and participate in staff development.Coordinate with healthcare teams for comprehensive patient care.Promote safety, quality improvement, and evidence-based practices.Assist in invasive and non-invasive procedures and pulmonary diagnostics where applicable.Maintain accurate documentation and electronic orders. Qualifications & Skills Associate or Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Therapy (preferred).Valid NBRC-RRT and Respiratory Care Professional certifications.Current BLS and ACLS certifications.0-2 years of clinical experience, with at least 6 months in critical care.Strong communication, critical thinking, and computer skills.Ability to establish effective working relationships with healthcare professionals.
