Essential functions

  • Examine, collect, record, and maintain patient information, such as medical history, reports, and examination results
  • Interview, examine, and provide medical services and treatment virtually through Employer-approved telehealth platforms to patients, including patients referred from other physicians
  • Keep and maintain appropriate records, reports, claims, and correspondence necessary in connection with all professional services rendered, including information on medical services provided and financial information generated, all in accordance with the Employer's policies and protocols regarding medical records, claims preparation, and utilization management
  • Participate in utilization management, quality improvement, risk management, and other patient care management programs established by or carried on for third party payors by the Employer
  • Promote, to the extent permitted by law and applicable canons of medical ethics, the professional practice of the Employer and assist in developing a fully integrated health care delivery system as part of the BSWH System
  • Attend, to the extent reasonable and at minimum to the extent necessary to abide by the Employer's CME policies and requirements of Physician's medical board specialty, professional conventions, postgraduate seminars, and functions of professional societies necessary to maintain and improve professional skills

Qualifications

  • Doctorate Degree in Medicine
  • Licensed to Practice Medicine in the state of Texas by the Texas Medical Board
  • Currently board certified in specialty or demonstrate active pursuit of board certification as defined by the appropriate specialty board of the American Board of Medical Specialties or the Bureau of Osteopathic Specialists
